Although we encourage the involvement of your family physician or specialist we do not require a doctor's referral in order for you to see any of our therpaits or doctors.

Your Extended Health Plan may however require a doctor's referral - please check with your plan directly.

We often get caught up in our daily routines and loose sight of our personal goals.  Or it may be those aches and pains that become part of our daily routine that keep us from reaching our goals.

If an old injury, or some aches and pains are preventing you from reaching your goals, a registered physiotherapist may help get you moving toward that goal.  A registered physiotherapist will assess and treat the problem.

What is involved with the assessment you may ask?

The physiotherapist starts an assessment by taking a history.  This includes asking questions about your main concerns, your current and past health history, related systems ( ie : digestive, circulatory, neurological , respiratory , etc) , and your goals.  They will then assess the necessary areas that may be related to your complaint based on your history ( ie: if you come in for a knee problem they may look at your back , hips, and ankles as well if necessary).  The thorough assessment helps to determine the cause of the problem, the appropriate treatment plan for you, and ultimately helps to achieve your goal.

So take a minute out of your day and just ask yourself, what are my goals of the day ?

Is everybody is telling you to work on your core .

Pilates is the most effective way to do just that !

Our classes have no more than 10 participants ensuring that you do not get lost in the crowd, making you vulnerable to injury.  We have all been to classes at the typical gym where the instructor is barking out the orders and you are wrenching your neck to see what is going on . Not here . Heather ensures that each person is doing the exercises the way that best suits their body.  Pilates focuses on proper posture, spinal movement and range of motion.  This system of exercise is the only modality that allows you to work out effectively for everyday life.  Super athlete to weekend warrior - Everyone is welcome !

If you are in a Motor Vehicle Accident ....

Call your insurance adjuster and start a claim.

If you decide to go to a physiotherapist or massage therapist you can call right after you start your claim with your adjuster to set up an appointmetn with us .

It is recommended that you start rehab therapy as soon as possible after your accident .

We will require all of your Motor Vehicle Insurance information such as claim number , Insurance company and address as well as your adjusters name and phone number .

By law - you are required to use and exhaust your Extended Health Benefits ( EH )   ( health coverage through your employer, spouse's employer or if you are a minor through your parents insurance through their work ) .  You must use your EH prior to us being able to bill your Vehicle Insurance directly .

We will therefore need your EH information - such as  the annual limits on both physiotherapy and massage therapy , the % or amount your company pays per visit and the insurance company that holds your EH.

Don't worry though --- our knowledgeable administration team will be able to walk you through this process and all the billing details if you are in a car accident .

The most important thing to remember is to call your adjuster then call us ....
