You are not alone! Meet Kaley Veerman, a pelvic floor physiotherapist, on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 2:00-4:00pm at the Freer Physiotherapy Clinic in Barrie, ON. Kaley will be joining Mum and Bubs Health and Fitness to empower women with the knowledge, guidance and exercises needed to meet the challenges that pregnancy and childbirth may bring.
Through her workshop, you will learn:
• Normal anatomy, function, and pregnancy-related changes to the pelvic floor
• The difference between pelvic girdle pain and low back pain
• How to assess your own bowel and bladder function/dysfunction
• How to identify ‘mummy tummy’
• Exercises and behavioural strategies to deal with these unpleasant symptoms
• The truth about ‘Kegels’, and why they may not be the right exercise for you
